She didn’t come home started in February as a vision to honor and memorialize women who never came home from their walk, jog, or run; I spent time researching each individual woman I uncovered, with each story I realized how large this project is. I considered this a community service project when I first started as well.

The more stories I shared on my social media the more I was asked what are you going to do with this? I honestly did not think that part through, it was more I wanted to do something bigger than myself. It wasn’t until I was contacted by businesses, podcasts, and other safety organizations; that I knew this needed to become larger, than what I was envisioning.

My hope is uncover women lost behind the mainstream media or forgotten by the public due to the time era. I also hope to instill change in DNA testing so cases can be solved and/or prevent future women from falling victim to crimes that could be prevented if DNA was tested.
